Founded in 1972 MasterPress began providing labels and nameplates to local Seattle companies. After ten solid years the company was purchased by Ron Shigeno whose vision for MasterPress combined great customer service and quality products while remaining efficient and technologically up-to-date. Under his supervision MasterPress began aggressively purchasing new equipment while at the same time steadily growing with the production of labels and overlays.
The company continued to grow and in 1989 they moved from their small space on Queen Anne into a larger building in North Seattle. This location provided room for their pursuit of efficiency and technology. Here MasterPress purchased their first Sakauri, an automatic press and also began producing membrane switches after the acquisition of Seattle Technical Services. |
2003 brought another move for MasterPress. Ten blocks north of their previous facility MasterPress resides in a 20,000 square foot building specifically designed for the production of labels, overlays, membrane switches, screen and digital printing. The building houses twelve presses including automatic, semi-automatic, Linde and digital. Among these presses are the HP Indigo® Press and two Mimaki digital presses.
Using the latest printing technology, expert staff at MasterPress work under ISO 9001, a certification granted MasterPress in 2006, creating high quality products while providing great customer service and constantly improving MasterPress’ internal processes. With local, national, and international clientele MasterPress has grown into a leading label company that is still on the frontier of printing technology and will continue to provide great products and services in the years to come. |
