Metal Domes
These are small metal domes of various shapes and sizes applied to the circuit layer of a switch, and when depressed create a snap-like tactile response.

Polydomes
Similar in function to Metal Domes, polydomes are made from a polyester layer and applied to the circuit layer of a switch.
